About Us
We are a church devoted to the gospel of Jesus Christ, committed to the faithful preaching of God’s Word, and passionate about making disciples who impact the world for His glory.
We believe Kampala needs authentic communities of Jesus followers who live distinctly Christian lives in the city—and that’s exactly what we’re striving to be.
Our Core Values
Centrality of the Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. The conviction in its total authority, truthfulness, and sufficiency lies at the heart of our church. Therefore, we prioritize allowing the Bible to shape all of who we are and all of what we do. We are committed to studying it carefully, because we believe that through it, God’s voice is heard. We are devoted to learning the Scriptures, which reveal Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Power of the gospel
The gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lived a perfect life, died a sacrificial death for sinners, and rose victoriously to reign as King over all. This message is not only God’s power for salvation, but also the power that transforms believers into the likeness of Jesus. Therefore, we are committed to singing the gospel, preaching the gospel, and living out its implications in our daily lives.
Priority of Prayer
We value prayer because it expresses our need for God. We seek to be a church that is God-dependent through desperate prayer.
Culture of Discipleship
In a country where many profess Christianity but few reflect Christ in their daily lives, we desire to be a people who obey Jesus in every area of life—authentically, though not perfectly—embracing His call to deny ourselves and follow Him. We also believe that following Jesus means engaging in the costly but joyful work of calling others to follow Him as well. For this reason, we are committed to being a community on mission—living out the gospel and living out the gospel and persistently calling others to Christ.
Life of sacrificial service
Though Jesus is God, He humbled Himself to serve us. He also said that “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45. In a world that values status and being served, Jesus redefines greatness—declaring that the greatest in God’s kingdom are those who serve. Because Jesus served us in love by giving his life for us, we want to be a community marked by sacrificial service, gladly serving others.
Living as Family
The gospel of Christ unites us as a true family. We want our lives to reflect that oneness by building a strong, Christ-centered community made up of diverse people who share the same mission.
